Audit & Accounts Senior – 75% Audit, 25% Accounts

About the role

This full‑time, office‑based position is for an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior who will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion while also supporting accounts and tax work for a varied client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments end‑to‑end, preparing complete audit files and resolving technical issues independently.
• Prepare and review company accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Liaise directly with clients and HMRC, responding to queries and maintaining strong relationships.
• Support and train junior staff on audit engagements and coordinate with outsourced teams when required.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, nearly qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
• 5‑10 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong audit experience with the ability to complete audits independently.
• Excellent knowledge of UK auditing standards and audit regulations.
• Experience preparing company accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills.
