About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in Liverpool as an Audit Semi‑Senior. You will work across the full audit cycle, supporting a varied portfolio of clients while progressing your professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Perform audit testing on multiple financial statement areas.
• Prepare accurate, well‑documented audit working papers.
• Identify potential audit issues and discuss them with senior colleagues.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners.
• Guide and support junior team members.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Previous external audit experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA.
• Good understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Confident communicator with clients and team members.
