Audit Specialist – Remote (UK)

About the role

RTX is seeking an Audit Specialist to join its Internal Audit team. This remote position is based in the United Kingdom and offers exposure to a fast‑paced, international aerospace and defence business. The role supports the Finance function by evaluating internal controls, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing assurance across key processes.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in risk‑based audits on assigned engagements and contribute to audit planning.
• Assess risk of critical business processes and execute detailed audit work programs.
• Create process maps to highlight control weaknesses and recommend enhancements.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with other functions.
• Analyse data streams to generate actionable insights for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant audit or finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA) or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk‑based auditing, or financial controls.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and presenting to senior leaders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal audit standards and risk‑based audit methodology.
• Understanding of financial, operational and compliance controls.
• Ability to develop process maps and document audit procedures.
