Back End Software Engineer

About the role

FundApps is looking for a mid‑level Back End Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing engineering team. You will work on a suite of innovative products that monitor over US$20 trillion in assets under management daily, helping investment managers make better decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain back‑end services using C# and PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Collaborate with product, data and front‑end teams to deliver new features and improve existing ones.
• Contribute to the migration and optimisation of data pipelines, ensuring sustainability and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Mid‑level engineer with a generalist understanding of product development and agile practices.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking ownership and delivering solutions independently.
• Proactive communicator who gives and receives constructive feedback.
• Committed to continuous improvement and transparent progress reporting.

Required skills

• C# (or Java/Python)
• PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3
• AWS services (Fargate, Lambdas, Step Functions)
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Serverless)
• Front‑end basics: React, TypeScript

What we offer

• Base salary £60,000‑£65,000 per year.
