About the role
The Band 3 Health Care Assistant will support the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care for service users with health and social care needs. Working under the guidance of a qualified nurse, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team within the Barberry Centre.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
- Provide day‑to‑day support to service users, including personal care and therapeutic activities.
- Promote effective therapeutic relationships, respecting spirituality, equality, diversity and rights.
- Ensure clear communication pathways and act as a role model for junior staff.
- Help develop and deliver social and therapeutic activities aligned with best practice and legislation.
Required profile
- Ability to work with minimal supervision under a qualified nurse.
- Good knowledge of local, national policies and legislation governing health and social care services.
- Commitment to inclusive, compassionate care for a culturally diverse population.
- Willingness to support the values and standards of the NHS Trust.
