Barista – Flexible Shifts in Torquay

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our Costa Coffee store in Torquay. You will be the face of the café, preparing high‑quality coffee and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Flexible shift patterns are available, including essential weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to Costa standards.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well‑stocked service area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Support fellow team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Uphold health, safety and food hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong customer focus.
• Adaptable and resourceful in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Reliability and accountability for delivering quality service.

Required skills

• Ability to operate coffee brewing equipment.
• Basic cash handling and point‑of‑sale system use.
