Building Surveyor – Exeter (Hybrid & Flexible)

About the role

Are you a Building Surveyor seeking greater variety, autonomy and the chance to work on diverse projects across the South West? This position with a respected property consultancy in Exeter offers a blend of project delivery and professional surveying duties in a supportive, flexible environment.

Key responsibilities

• Survey properties and produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings.
• Prepare plans, specifications and tender documentation, managing the tender process.
• Administer contracts under JCT Minor Works and Intermediate Forms, overseeing refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct building inspections, condition surveys and defect diagnosis, and provide professional advice at client and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Consultancy or private practice experience, with ability to produce 2D AutoCAD drawings.
• Experience in contract administration under JCT Minor Works and Intermediate Contracts.
• Good understanding of Building Regulations and construction processes.
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills, capable of managing multiple projects independently and within a team.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (2D drawing production).
