Buyer – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their Minworth site. The role is centred on direct purchasing within the Bought‑Out Parts category, covering a broad range of commodities such as films, foams, tapes, clips, coatings, stampings, fasteners, fixings and surface treatments.
Key responsibilities
- Commercial management of the supplier base for the Bought‑Out Parts portfolio.
- Negotiate prices, contract terms and resolve delivery issues or claims.
- Manage the full RFQ to SOP process, including new product introductions (NPI).
- Maintain strong relationships with a wide network of suppliers across multiple commodity groups.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive experience is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in a Buyer or similar procurement role within a fast‑paced setting.
