Buyer – Direct Procurement (Manufacturing)

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Buyer for its Direct Procurement department at the Hethel plant. You will lead procurement activities for a defined direct‑material product group, working closely with Engineering, Quality and Programme teams to support the development of world‑class sports cars.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborative, world‑class supplier relationships.
• Manage supplier performance throughout vehicle launch and production phases, ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets are met.
• Gain deep insight into the supply base, local and global markets, and business requirements.
• Create and sustain commodity and sourcing strategies.
• Lead supplier negotiations and achieve material cost targets for new product introductions.
