Cash in Transit Officer – Birmingham

About the role

As a Cash in Transit Officer you will be responsible for the safe and secure movement of cash between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. Each shift varies, requiring you to switch between driving and courier duties, either working alone or alongside a partner.

Key responsibilities

• Operate as a driver or courier, depending on the assigned duties, working solo or with a partner.
• Service ATM machines by securely transporting and deploying cash.
• Follow company processes and complete all required documentation in line with operational targets.
• Drive and park company vehicles responsibly, adhering to the Highway Code, company policy and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient service.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and branch management to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Provide a continuous 10‑year employment and education history.
• Valid full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
• Valid CVIT SIA licence is desirable; a £1,000 bonus is offered if held.
• Conscientious driving with full adherence to the Highway Code.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet tight deadlines.
• Successful completion of criminal record and credit background checks.

What we offer

• Salary of £35,766.10 per annum plus paid overtime and a company bonus scheme.
• £1,000 joining bonus after probation for holders of a valid CVIT SIA licence.
• 45‑hour contract with weekend rota, 4‑day work week (11.25 h per day) and paid breaks.
• 26‑day annual leave (4‑day pattern) or 32‑day leave (5‑day pattern).
