CEO Through Acquisition – Lead a UK Business

About the role

Novastone Capital Advisors (NCA) seeks a mid‑career professional to partner with us in acquiring and leading a small or medium‑sized enterprise in the UK as Chief Executive Officer. The role involves a 24‑month search phase followed by full responsibility for the acquired business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a search process to generate deal flow and identify acquisition targets meeting predefined criteria.
• Manage the acquisition process with support from NCA’s Investment Management team.
• Assume the CEO position of the newly acquired company.
• Develop and implement strategic growth plans, including 100‑day action plans and long‑term business strategy.
• Drive top‑line growth through marketing, sales initiatives, and product/service portfolio enhancements.
• Oversee geographical expansion and market entry strategies when required.
• Ensure operational efficiency and profitable growth.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles with full P&L responsibility.
• Executive MBA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of proven track record running and growing businesses or business units in the UK.
• Strong entrepreneurial motivation and fluency in English.
• Deep expertise or strategic vision in one or more sectors such as Business Services, Healthcare Services, Niche Manufacturing, Software/Tech‑Enabled Businesses, or Distribution & Logistics.
