Charge Nurse (Sister) – Full‑time, 37.5 hrs

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based at Kings Park Hospital in Stirling. As a Sister – Charge Nurse you will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, high‑quality care for acute and emergency patients across a flexible shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on clinical care and act as the senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity, maintaining safe staffing levels, appropriate skill mix and continuity of care.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, clearly defining responsibilities and meeting patient needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
• Liaise with patients, families, consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and patient flow within the department.

Required profile

• Registered Adult Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
• Proven experience leading and supervising a clinical team.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication and coordination abilities.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and ongoing professional development.
• Experience in an Emergency/Urgent Care Centre is essential.
