About the role

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Chair to join our team in North London on a contract basis. The role offers flexible hybrid working and the opportunity to lead safeguarding initiatives within children’s social work services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert chairing of child protection meetings and panels.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to assess and manage risk.
• Deliver clear, evidence‑based recommendations and decisions.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Qualified social worker with extensive experience in child protection.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate high‑stakes meetings.
• Strong knowledge of UK child safeguarding legislation.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
