Children's Residential Worker – Greater London

About the role
Join a short‑to‑medium residential home in the Hayes area, supporting children and young people with disabilities. You will work on day and sleep‑in shifts, providing a safe, stimulating environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Assist children with personal care, medication administration and mealtimes.
- Deliver highly person‑centred care plans tailored to physical, health and sensory needs.
- Build trusting relationships and use de‑escalation techniques to help young people manage emotions.
- Facilitate activities in the sensory room, arts & crafts area and outdoor play space to encourage peer interaction.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
- Clear Enhanced DBS check.
- Flexibility to work most days, including day, evening and sleep‑in shifts.
Required skills
- Experience supporting children with learning, physical or complex health needs.
- Ability to administer medication safely.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
