Claims Handler – Public & Employers Liability

About the role

We are looking for a Claims Handler to join our Casualty Team. You will manage a caseload of Public and Employers Liability claims – including personal injury, product liability and property damage – up to a reserve value of £20,000, taking each claim from inception to settlement before litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Pro‑actively manage a portfolio of Public Liability, Employers Liability, Property Damage and Product Liability claims.
• Maintain accurate data in the case management system.
• Meet client Service Level Agreements and uphold high quality and productivity standards.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• 12 months relevant experience, or 6 months plus a law degree or equivalent.
• Experience using the MOJ Claims Portal.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Customer‑focused with the ability to manage your own workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
