Cleaning Assistant – Part‑time (3‑6 pm Mon‑Thu, 3‑5 pm Fri)

About the role

Bruntcliffe Academy is looking for a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to join its facilities team on a part‑time basis. You will help maintain a safe, clean and well‑maintained environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, corridors, offices and common areas.
• Handle and use potentially hazardous cleaning materials safely and in line with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Follow safety instructions and chemical labels, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Work under the supervision of the Site Manager and collaborate with the wider cleaning team.

Required profile

• Ability to safely handle and use hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Strong reading skills to understand safety instructions and product labels.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to work constructively with colleagues.
• Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards.
