Client Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Client Accountant to manage a portfolio of client accounts in Birmingham, working hybrid (2 days in‑office, 3 days remote). You will ensure accurate financial reporting, handle CIS processes and deliver a high level of service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions for a client portfolio.
• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate client fund records.
• Process payment runs in line with contractual deadlines.
• Administer Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes, ensuring compliance.
• Allocate cash receipts and resolve account queries.
• Prepare monthly client accounts and financial reports.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support ad‑hoc finance projects and team initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or similar finance role in the real‑estate sector.
• Demonstrable experience working with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
• Part‑qualified (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
