Cloud Security Architect (Hybrid)

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is looking for a forward‑thinking Cloud Security Architect to shape secure multi‑cloud solutions across Azure, GCP and hybrid environments. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with engineering and product teams to embed security by design while supporting the bank’s transformation into a leading FinTech.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce reference architectures, patterns and blueprints for secure cloud adoption.
• Conduct threat modelling and security assessments for new cloud services, defining preventative and detective controls.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security guardrails early in design.
• Review external architecture proposals and identify security gaps.
• Document and uphold secure‑by‑design principles and architecture governance.
• Collaborate with senior partners to articulate security risks and mitigations.
• Anticipate customer needs and take proactive steps to address them.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in cloud security and a passion for protecting large‑scale financial services.
• Experience with governance, risk & compliance and risk‑based decision making.
• Proven ability to perform threat modelling and risk assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
