CNC Machinist – Manual & CNC Workshop (London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our busy engineering workshop in South Kensington, London. You will work on high‑precision prototype and one‑off components that support innovative research and engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture precision one‑off and prototype components from technical drawings.
• Set up and operate manual milling, turning, and CNC machine tools (XYZ CNC and Mazak CNC lathes).
• Produce parts to tight tolerances and inspect finished items to ensure quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers and workshop colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience with manual milling and/or turning.
• Proven CNC machining background, preferably with XYZ CNC machines or Mazak CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience delivering precision components for low‑volume or prototype work.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
