About the role

This professional advisory position works directly with SME owners, finance directors, accountants and commercial lenders in Manchester. The role involves providing expert guidance across the full spectrum of business finance, commercial lending and debt advisory to help clients secure growth and stability.

Key responsibilities

• Advise SME clients on commercial finance, business lending and debt restructuring solutions.
• Build and manage a portfolio of SME clients seeking funding or debt advisory services.
• Develop referral partnerships with accountants, intermediaries and business networks.
• Assess financial statements, credit profiles and funding requirements.
• Prepare and present structured funding proposals to lenders and clients.
• Maintain strong relationships with commercial lenders across invoice finance, asset finance, term lending and business banking.
• Drive business development through professional networks, partnerships and SME outreach.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Debt Advisory Consultant or Commercial Finance Broker.
• Strong background in business finance, commercial lending, SME funding or debt advisory.
• Demonstrated ability to assess financial statements and credit profiles.
• Experience building and managing a sales broker portfolio.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with lenders and referral partners.
