About the role

An award‑winning international law firm is seeking a Legal Director to lead its Commercial Insurance team in Manchester. The role involves advising major insurer clients on high‑value property damage disputes and shaping the practice’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

Lead a diverse caseload covering first and third‑party property damage claims, coverage disputes, product liability matters and subrogated recoveries.
Shape team strategy and deepen relationships with key insurer clients.
Mentor and develop junior members of the Commercial Insurance team.

Required profile

Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with extensive experience in property damage matters.
Strong technical expertise combined with commercial awareness.
Confidence to advise on complex legal issues and build lasting client relationships.
