Commercial Solicitor – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor to join a well‑established, employee‑owned law firm in Manchester. The role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate and commercial matters and the chance to work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise businesses on commercial and corporate legal issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, restructures and other corporate transactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs, owner‑managed businesses and larger corporate clients.
• Collaborate with the wider business services team to deliver practical, commercially focused advice.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience in corporate or commercial law.
• Proven ability to manage a varied caseload of contracts and corporate transactions.
• Commercially minded with strong drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Comfortable managing client relationships and providing pragmatic legal advice.
• Proactive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
