Community Staff Nurse – Treatment Room & Vaccination

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Treatment Room and Vaccination Service in East Renfrewshire. This full‑time, permanent position allows you to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care within a community setting while supporting patients to maintain their health and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing interventions and treatments in treatment‑room clinics and community environments.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care programmes in partnership with patients and carers.
• Support vaccination programmes, including providing care to housebound patients.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional standards.
• Collaborate with primary care, community services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Supervise and support junior staff, students and new team members.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, risk management and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC First Level Registration (live UK pin required).
• Post‑registration experience with evidence of ongoing professional development and revalidation.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills and ability to deliver safe, patient‑centred care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective relationships with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisational and leadership abilities.
