Compliance Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Advisor to join our Group Legal Team. Working closely with the Head of Compliance and the Data Protection Officer, you will help maintain a robust compliance framework and provide practical, day‑to‑day support across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical advice on compliance obligations and data protection requirements, including UK GDPR and related legislation.
• Maintain compliance registers such as the Record of Processing Activities, DPIA register, and incident logs.
• Support incident management and breach response, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct risk‑based monitoring and control testing, track findings and assist teams in implementing improvements.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness campaigns to foster a culture of integrity.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in a compliance, risk, legal, or data protection role.
• Solid working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, applied pragmatically.
• Experience drafting policies, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, and handling Subject Access Requests.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to documentation.
