Computer Science Teacher – Immediate 1‑Month Contract in East London

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Computer Science Teacher to join a well‑regarded secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London, starting in September. The position is initially for one month with a strong possibility of extension through the October half term.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science and ICT across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons.
• Assess student work and provide effective feedback.
• Support learners of varying abilities, including SEND and EAL students.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate closely with an established, supportive department.

Required profile

• Previous experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan, teach and assess confidently.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student progress.
• Availability from the start of September for at least one month.
• QTS preferred, though experienced specialists without QTS will also be considered.
