Construction Site Supervisor – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

The Construction Site Supervisor (M&E) will oversee day‑to‑day mechanical and electrical installation activities on an industrial construction site. Reporting to the local Project Manager, the role ensures work is carried out safely, to specification, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of HVAC systems, pipework, plumbing, electrical containment, cabling, terminations, and plant equipment.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and RAMS.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme, report delays, variations or technical issues.
• Maintain daily site records, progress reports and visual evidence of compliance.
• Support testing, commissioning and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification (mandatory).
• CSCS Supervisory Card relevant to M&E.
• Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• First Aid at Work (desirable) and relevant permits (HV/LV awareness, confined spaces, hot works).
• Proven experience supervising M&E works on live construction sites.
