Consultant – Innovation Programme in Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

This permanent consultant position leads CPC’s flagship innovation accelerator for the construction and infrastructure sector. Based in London or Milton Keynes, you will work closely with industry partners, investors and SMEs to move high‑potential technologies from concept to real‑world deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage open calls, assessment frameworks and due‑diligence processes for innovative businesses.
• Onboard and guide SMEs through trial and commercial pathways, ensuring successful industry validation.
• Engage buyers, trial hosts and investors to shape pipelines and confirm market demand.
• Mobilise and oversee live trials, capture performance data and translate outcomes into evidence packs and case studies.
• Coordinate expert support for commercialisation, investor readiness and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Maintain CRM records, support revenue targets, contribute to bids and enhance programme visibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing innovation programmes or accelerator cycles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with industry, investors and SMEs.
• Analytical rigour and ability to translate complex technical solutions into buyer‑ready propositions.
• Experience delivering structured trials and capturing measurable impact.

• Salary range £49,210 – £58,651 per year.
