Corporate Development Analyst – Strategic Growth & M&A

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Corporate Development Analyst to support strategic growth initiatives at Castle Trust Bank. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Development and the executive team, you will evaluate, execute and integrate mergers, acquisitions, divestments and strategic investments, influencing the bank’s direction.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to prepare materials for Executive Committee, Board and investor meetings.
• Support evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, divestments and strategic investments.
• Identify strategic growth opportunities across business areas and develop improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain robust financial models (DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions) and conduct valuation assessments.
• Analyse target financials, forecasts and key value drivers to provide data‑driven insights.
• Assist with financial due diligence, integration planning, synergy tracking and post‑acquisition performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Prior experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction services or strategy.
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to handle large data sets.
• Business degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience assessing credit risk or M&A portfolios.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of challenger banking environment and regulatory landscape.
