Corporate Paralegal – Financial Institutions Group

About the role

We are a leading international law firm looking for a Corporate Paralegal to join our Financial Institutions Group in London. You will work alongside senior lawyers on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions, gaining exposure to banking, finance, M&A and private equity work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with corporate, finance and transactional matters from instruction through to completion.
• Conduct legal and corporate due diligence and prepare related reports.
• Review constitutional documents and draft board minutes, shareholder resolutions and corporate authorisations.
• Prepare completion checklists, transaction bibles and closing documentation.
• Manage virtual data rooms and document management throughout transactions.
• Coordinate Companies House filings, searches and statutory documentation.
• Support signing and completion processes, including DocuSign execution.
• Liaise with clients, external advisers, notaries and third parties.
• Provide general case management and administrative support to fee earners.

Required profile

• A Law degree, GDL or LPC with corporate electives.
• One to three years’ experience as a Corporate Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
• Previous exposure to corporate, banking or finance transactions.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Legal research using Westlaw, Lexis and Practical Law.
• Proficiency with virtual data rooms and document management systems.
• Experience with DocuSign for electronic execution.
• Knowledge of Companies House filing procedures.
