Corporate Tax Manager – Hybrid – £60k DOE

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a leading independent accountancy and advisory firm. The role offers genuine autonomy, a varied client portfolio and clear progression opportunities within a collaborative national tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors.
• Review complex corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.
• Deliver high‑quality corporate tax compliance services.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for client tax matters and build long‑term relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to deliver a joined‑up service.
• Monitor client work, recoverability and billing.
• Support the development and mentoring of Tax Assistants, Seniors and Assistant Managers.
• Deliver technical training and share knowledge across the team.
• Participate in recruitment activities and provide line‑management to junior colleagues.
• Stay up to date with changes in corporate tax legislation and identify value‑adding opportunities.

Required profile

• CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong corporate tax compliance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver advisory services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational abilities.
