Court of Protection Paralegal – London

About the role

The client is a leading City of London law firm seeking two dedicated Court of Protection Paralegals. You will manage day‑to‑day financial affairs for vulnerable clients, liaise with the Office of the Public Guardian and support a fast‑growing, high‑profile team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors and fee earners with the management of Court of Protection files from inception to conclusion.
• Prepare and draft Court of Protection applications, witness statements, court forms and supporting documentation under supervision.
• Liaise with clients, families, deputies, the Office of the Public Guardian, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
• Review medical records, mental capacity assessments and financial information to support case decisions.
• Attend meetings, conferences and Court hearings as required.

Required profile

• Law degree with experience as a Court of Protection Paralegal or Advisor.
• Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Court of Protection procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Self‑motivated team player with a client‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using document management systems.
