Court of Protection Solicitor – up to £65,000 (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join our award‑winning team in Manchester. The role involves managing property and affairs caseloads, supporting senior colleagues on complex matters and providing advice to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of property and affairs files and coordinate with case workers.
• Assist senior team members with complex Court of Protection matters, including contested and high‑value cases.
• Maintain daily contact with clients, offering practical and legal advice.
• Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection.
• Handle jurisdictional issues and financial abuse investigations.

Required profile

• 2+ years’ post‑qualification experience in Court of Protection, property and affairs, or professional deputyship work.
• Proven experience in applying for and contesting Court of Protection matters.
• Knowledge of welfare issues and care‑funding options, including local authority and NHS funding.
