Cover Supervisor – Flexible Part‑time/Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Hackney. You will step in during a teacher’s short‑term absence, keeping classes focused and ensuring that set work is completed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
• Ensure pupils complete the work assigned by the regular teacher.
• Create a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
• Confident, professional and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
