CQC Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

About the role
We are looking for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead a new domiciliary care service in Birmingham. You will build the service from the ground up, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care for service users in their own homes.
Key responsibilities
- Register and maintain the service’s registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Lead daily operations of the domiciliary care service, ensuring compliance with CQC standards, legislation and company policies.
- Recruit, develop and manage care staff and coordinators.
- Conduct audits, quality assurance checks and service reviews.
- Handle safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and risk assessments.
- Build relationships with service users, families, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
- Support business growth through excellent service delivery and reputation management.
- Monitor performance against quality and operational targets and promote a culture of dignity and respect.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Care Manager in domiciliary care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
- Experience managing and developing care teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
