Credit Hire Fee Earner – Manchester

About the role

Our client, a specialist litigation practice in Manchester, is expanding its Credit Hire team. The Credit Hire Fee Earner will manage a full caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated credit hire matters, working closely with clients, insurers and third‑party representatives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of credit hire claims from inception to settlement.
• Review liability and quantum issues and draft legal documents, witness statements and schedules of loss.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and third‑party representatives.
• Conduct file reviews, ensure protocol compliance and prepare matters for litigation when required.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, solicitors and other stakeholders.
• Meet individual billing and performance targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling credit hire claims.
• Background as a Credit Hire Fee Earner, Litigation Executive, Paralegal or similar.
• Strong understanding of liability, causation and quantum principles.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with high attention to detail.
