Criminal Paralegal – North London

About the role

A specialist criminal defence practice in North London is seeking a Criminal Paralegal to support a busy caseload of serious crime, Crown Court and complex investigations. You will work closely with experienced solicitors and advocates, gaining hands‑on experience across all stages of the criminal process.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with Magistrates' Court and Crown Court matters
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
• Review evidence, disclosure and witness statements
• Draft legal correspondence, applications and attendance notes
• Liaise with clients, counsel, courts, police stations and prisons
• Attend hearings, conferences and client meetings
• Support trial preparation and case strategy

Required profile

• LPC or SQE qualification
• Minimum two years' experience in criminal law
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines under pressure
