Key responsibilities

• Handle criminal defence and professional regulatory/disciplinary matters.
• Advise privately funded professional clients on police investigations and criminal prosecutions.
• Manage your own caseload with supervision and progress matters to trial.
• Collaborate with the specialist team and report to Nick Brett.

Required profile

• 2–5 years post‑qualification experience in criminal regulatory work.
• Proven experience of police investigations and defending criminal prosecutions.
• Excellent knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Rules and commercial private criminal practice.
• Demonstrable achievements at a leading firm or boutique with case examples from investigation to trial.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience using case management systems.
