Customer Services Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Services Associate to join our UPS Polar Speed site in Leighton Buzzard. The role supports patients and healthcare trusts by managing prescription deliveries and maintaining accurate records, ensuring seamless home‑care service.

Key responsibilities

• Update and maintain accurate patient records on the patient database.
• Recognise and report adverse events according to standard operating procedures and timelines.
• Coordinate receipt of prescriptions from prescribers with delivery of dispensed medication to patients.
• Provide an initial response to all patient or Trust enquiries about the home‑care service.
• Schedule deliveries to prevent medication shortages or excess stock.
• Rotate within the department to gain knowledge of all therapies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Assist in achieving internal and external KPIs.
• Comply with data‑privacy requirements to protect patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Excellent telephone manner.
• Strong organisational skills, proactive and initiative‑taking.
• Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and learn quickly.
• Ability to build effective relationships with senior managers, team leaders and colleagues across departments.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Team‑player mentality with capacity to work independently.
