Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to protect our digital assets across a large housing group. Based in Wembley or Basingstoke, you will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with our external SOC and internal teams to monitor, detect and remediate threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts using SIEM and other tools, analysing logs for suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with the SOC and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve incidents, reducing risk.
• Conduct threat‑hunting activities and perform network security checks.
• Maintain and improve monitoring systems and firewall rule sets.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours response.
• Implement and verify cloud security controls, including IAM and workload protection.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior Cyber Security Analyst or equivalent role.
• Strong understanding of cyber‑security fundamentals, cloud, network and device security concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms.
• Firewall configuration and management.
• Log analysis using KQL.
• Threat hunting and network security monitoring.
• Cloud security best practices, IAM and workload protection.
