Data Engineer – Cloud & AI Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a fast‑growing consultancy delivering production‑grade data platforms for leading UK organisations. The role is client‑facing and will involve designing and building scalable, cloud‑based solutions using modern technologies such as AWS, Databricks and emerging Agentic AI.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud data platforms.
• Develop robust data architectures and support the full software development lifecycle.
• Create tooling for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and quality assurance.
• Collaborate directly with clients to capture requirements and deliver high‑quality data solutions.
• Explore and apply emerging technologies, including Agentic AI, to improve engineering processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and DBT.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Databricks.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, Git and modern development practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Passion for emerging technologies, especially Agentic AI, and a customer‑focused mindset.
