Deskside Technician – Field Services Bench Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Deskside Technician to join our IT support team. You will provide on‑site technical assistance across the UK, diagnosing hardware issues and ensuring client systems run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to client sites on demand to deliver on‑site support, cover vacations and sick leave, and assist on projects.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware problems with PCs, laptops, printers and other IT devices.
• Provide technical support in Microsoft Windows environments, using remote administration tools.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for LAN, wireless and VPN technologies.
• Manage user accounts and access rights in Azure, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Set up and maintain networked printers and multi‑functional devices.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to improve service delivery.
• Stay updated on modern technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT support role.
• Full driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for travel.
• Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
• Flexible, agile personality with a willingness to learn new technologies.
