Digital Partners & Fintech Business Development Manager (12‑month contract)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Fintech and Digital Partners portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This 12‑month contract (maternity cover) sits within the Fintech, Digital Partners & Government team and focuses on identifying new revenue opportunities and managing strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in shaping the UK & Ireland Fintech and Digital Partners business development strategy.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with product, customer solutions, and account management teams.
• Prospect new partners using cold outreach, personal networks, social media, thought leadership and events.
• Analyse prospects’ propositions and develop financial models to align Mastercard products such as issuing, acceptance, security, data services, open banking and processing.
• Manage the end‑to‑end contract agreement process and ensure opportunities are tracked in Salesforce.
• Support existing relationships with government, regulators, industry bodies and BIN sponsors.

Required profile

• Proven experience executing business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
• Strong network within the UK & Ireland Fintech ecosystem, preferably with C‑suite contacts.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic customer relationships.
• Excellent commercial acumen and experience developing business proposals and financial cases.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally and presenting to senior stakeholders.
