Director, Global IT Commercial, Sourcing and Vendor Management

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a senior leader to drive commercial value across its global IT portfolio. The Director, Global IT Commercial, Sourcing and Vendor Management will shape sourcing strategy, govern contracts and optimise spend to align technology investments with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the IT commercial management strategy and governance framework.
• Lead vendor and supplier relationships, conduct executive reviews, and develop scorecards and KPIs.
• Negotiate major technology procurement, renewal agreements and service‑level terms.
• Partner with Finance to manage budgets, forecasts and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure contracts meet security, legal, compliance and SOX requirements.
• Build and lead a high‑performing commercial management function, up‑skilling IT leaders and budget owners.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in IT commercial, procurement, vendor management or technology finance leadership.
• Proven track record negotiating complex technology agreements and delivering cost optimisation.
• Experience managing large software, cloud, managed‑service and consulting contracts.
• Ability to work with senior executives and external suppliers.
