Director of Quality & Governance

About the role

The institution is seeking a Director of Quality & Governance to lead academic quality, standards, regulatory compliance and governance across a rapidly growing higher education organisation. This senior executive role requires strategic vision, agility and the ability to drive improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for academic quality, standards and governance across the institution.
• Lead engagement with regulators, awarding bodies and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the OfS framework.
• Drive continuous enhancement of governance structures and committees.
• Oversee institutional reporting, quality monitoring, risk management and performance analysis.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing quality and governance team.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in academic quality assurance, governance or regulatory compliance within higher education.
• Strong understanding of OfS requirements, academic standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven experience leading teams and driving institutional improvement.
