Driver Labourer

About the role

Join GAP Group’s Non‑Mechanical Division and work in the heart of a busy depot. As a Driver Labourer you will keep the workshop and yard tidy, ensure all hazards are cleared, and make sure tools are stored correctly. You will also prepare equipment for dispatch by pressure‑cleaning it and confirming it is ready for the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely, professional manner.
• Demonstrate equipment on‑site and complete all required checks and administration accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe depot environment, storing tools properly and clearing hazards.
• Pressure‑clean equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it meets customer standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Full driving licence is essential; CSCS card and forklift licence are preferred.
• Strong team player willing to support colleagues with additional tasks.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced depot while maintaining high attention to detail.
