Early Years Teacher – Small Specialist Class (5‑8 yrs)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Early Years Teacher to join our dedicated team in September. You will work with a small specialist class of six pupils aged 5‑8, delivering a child‑centred Early Years curriculum in a calm, well‑resourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small class of six pupils, building strong relationships and personalised learning pathways.
• Design and deliver a creative, engaging Early Years curriculum tailored to individual needs.
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom where children feel safe, confident and motivated.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff to support each child’s development.
• Implement strategies that promote communication, social skills and emotional wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in Early Years or SEN settings is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Creative, warm and energetic approach to teaching.
• Confidence in planning and delivering differentiated learning opportunities.

Required skills

• Planning and delivering differentiated Early Years curriculum.
• Effective classroom management for small groups.
• Collaboration with teaching assistants and specialists.
