Electrician – 40 hrs/week, £23-£26 per hour

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a Manchester‑based client on a 3‑6 month contract, working 40 hours per week. The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining fire alarm, CCTV, emergency lighting and door entry systems across commercial and domestic properties.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems to BAFE standards.
• Fit and upkeep emergency lighting and CCTV installations.
• Install and maintain door entry systems.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnosis and corrective work.
• Produce accurate risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain company van and stock levels.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota.

Required profile

• Proven experience with fire alarm, emergency lighting, CCTV and door entry installations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ or City & Guilds) – desirable but not mandatory.
