Employment Lawyer – Associate or Senior Associate

About the role

An excellent opportunity to join a leading international law firm as an Employment Associate or Senior Associate, working across offices in Birmingham, London and Manchester. You will join a highly regarded employment practice advising major UK and international employers on a broad mix of contentious and non‑contentious matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage employment tribunal claims, including drafting ET3s and schedules of loss.
• Advise on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, TUPE and employment status matters.
• Support complex workplace investigations and prepare investigation reports.
• Work on restructuring, outsourcing and organisational change projects.
• Conduct legal research and draft commercially focused advice.
• Attend client meetings and work directly with HR and senior business stakeholders.
• Support client training, webinars and seminars.
• Contribute to employment law updates, know‑how and business development initiatives.
• Work alongside colleagues on international and cross‑border employment matters.

Required profile

• Experience advising employers on contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Exposure to employment tribunal claims and litigation.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Commercial approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive and organised with an interest in developing a career in employment law.
