Employment Lawyer – Employment Law Team

About the role

Join a well‑established law firm in Greater Manchester as an Employment Lawyer, supporting a busy employer‑focused practice. You will work alongside experienced specialists, handling both contentious and non‑contentious matters while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support fee‑earners on a broad range of employment law cases, both contentious and non‑contentious.
• Prepare for and attend Employment Tribunal hearings, including drafting bundles and disclosure documents.
• Conduct legal research to inform case strategy and ongoing matters.
• Liaise with clients, counsel and other professionals to ensure high‑quality client service.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver practical, commercial advice to employer clients.

Required profile

• At least 12 months’ experience in employment law, either as a paralegal or newly qualified solicitor.
• Solid understanding of both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for building a career in employment law.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
