Engineering Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering excellence at a manufacturing site in the Nottingham area. You will drive improvements in production, quality and overall efficiency while building a high‑performing maintenance team.

Key responsibilities

• Elevate engineering performance across production, quality and efficiency.
• Build, develop and lead a maintenance team using TPM tools and techniques.
• Generate continuous improvement and reduce reactive maintenance activities.
• Enhance planned maintenance processes where possible.
• Report directly to the Site Manager and contribute to the senior management team.

Required profile

• Recognised Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification (Level 3 or above).
• Proven experience managing and leading maintenance engineers in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated application of TPM in a process‑related manufacturing setting.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and EHS standards.
• Experience with departmental budgeting and cost control.

• CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) strategies.
• Asset care strategies.
